That’s why we offer prompt and reliable emergency dental care for our patients. Our experienced dental team is equipped to handle a wide range of dental emergencies and provide the necessary treatment to alleviate any pain or discomfort and talk you through any future treatment options.

Common Dental Emergencies
Some of the most common dental emergencies we treat include:
- Toothache
- Knocked-out tooth
- Broken or chipped tooth
- Lost filling or crown
- Abscessed tooth
- Soft tissue injury
What to do in a Dental Emergency
If you’re experiencing a dental emergency, we recommend that you take the following steps:
- Call our practice and explain your situation
- Follow any instructions provided by our staff
- Rinse your mouth with warm water to clean the affected area
- Apply a cold compress to the outside of your cheek to reduce swelling
- Take over-the-counter pain relievers, if needed

Emergency Dental Appointments
At St Peter’s Lodge we prioritize the needs of our patients and always try to accommodate emergency appointments as soon as possible. We have emergency appointment slots available every day and are open every Saturday too. If you’re experiencing a dental emergency, please don’t hesitate to call us. We will do our best to see you as soon as possible and provide the necessary treatment to get you out of any pain you may be in.
If you’re an existing patient we run an out-of-hours 7-day emergency service which you can access by calling 01727 853160.
We’re also happy to see new patients if you can’t get in touch with your existing dentist or if you’re not currently registered with a dental practice. If you give our friendly reception team a call we’ll do our very best to fit you in as soon as possible – often on the same day.
The cost for new patient emergencies is £110.
